update: actually having a very good time. I've set it to tile by default but there's a keybind to switch back to stacking whenever I want, which is less stressful than having to commit to learning i3 or whatever. got my files synced over. just trying to figure out menu bar configuration and so forth, but it's very usable as it is

the actual answer is that I've heard in-place btrfs conversion can be wonky which can mean Bad things if it fails, and I'm also considering changing window managers (I know. believe me I know, but there's a new one developed specifically for my favorite distro and it's called WORM so I gotta. I actually don't think it's weird to think your friends are hot - it's weird (and common, unfortunately) to avoid friendships with people you don't find attractive, and it's good to criticize that, but I find the more I get to know someone, regardless of whether I found them hot before, they get gradually hotter.
