Super Mario 3D All-Stars has leaked. It's confirmed to use emulation. The emulators were developed in-house and seem to have been made by "NERD" (Nintendo of Europe Division).

The new textures in Super Mario 64 are applied in real time using a LUA script.

The leak likely came from a retailer breaking street date on the game. Someone who got it likely had a modified Switch, dumped the NSP and XCI, and it's easily accessible to anyone with a modded Switch.

I'm not saying you should break the law, but I'm also not saying there's any moral or ethical issues with grabbing the NSP and installing it if Nintendo themselves want to artificially limit it's release despite the fact these games need to be preserved as art and not sold as commodities.

Steal Them, Okay? Steal Them.
